Lacking in Catholic commentary even though the Apostles' Creed like the Bible comes from the Holy Catholic Church as noted in the creed, and has been handed on and the secure doctrine preserved by the apostolic succession of the Catholic Church which Jesus founded on the foundation of the apostles as a body, a visible unity with a hierarchical structure, the Church which Saint Paul calls "pillar and foundation of the truth" 1 Tim 3:15.
